Huebilight turns you whole apartment into a ambilight for your tv. Just open the app, select the light bulbs you want to use for ambilight and hit the "start" button. Huebilight will calculate the average color of the movie you are watching and sets the color to it.

Phenomenal
This app turns any video (via the camera, by averaging the pixel colors) into an ambient accompaniment to (tv, video, anything the camera can sees). ~ My only suggestion, (due to the multiple lights option) would be to choose sections of the screen to average for a specific light. For instance say with four light each quadrant of the cameras capture could correspond to a specific light, then by positioning the bulbs where they are set to be; you could have upper lights as perhaps shades of blue reflecting the sky, and lower side lights as shades of green reflecting the grass, and trees (provided of course it corresponded to the video being analyzed). The app already is great, but with that one addition I could see this becoming a number one app for the Philips Hue. Again, great Job! PS, is there a manual to describe what the color lightness or darkness, and brightness refers to (the two seem kinda similar... I figure ones for video analysis, and the other for hue brightness. Cheers! Keep up the Development!

Does not work.
Some apps get a "does not work" when an app works poorly. This one does not work at all. It cannot ever find my Hue bridge, or other bridges at my friends houses. False advertising extraordinaire.
